~* Duncan *~ Happy Holidays!

Donna-

How are you? I know it's been a while since we've written, but I hope that you and your family have had a nice holiday. Nonetheless, Duncan (A Sophie Pup) is not so little anymore. She's amazing, and she has just brought alot of love to us. Today, actually, she lost a tooth and last night. We read that this was going to happen, but we're just hoping that she doesn't have any discomfort.

She's about 8 and a half pounds now. She loves to play with dogs twice as big as her. She's got alot of personality and just loves people in general. She's really good when she goes to the vet. Duncan didn't cry with any of her shots. She loves taking her vitamins and enjoys getting baths. It's quite amazing actually.

Lissette and I will have to send you some pictures that Lissette took. She's a photographer and she has a nice little album of Duncan that hopefully we can send you a few. Here's a couple from our digital. Nonetheless, we thank you for blessing us with this little one and hope you and your family are doing well.

Thanks again,

Lissette and Adrienne

~* Daisy *~ (New Pup) Up-date

Dear Donna
Daisy (A Jaz Pup) is adjusting very nicely to her new home; in fact,
She has taken over! She loves our other dog, Billie.
Attached is a picture of the two of them.
Daisy had her first visit to the vet and her first bath.
All is well.
She seems to wait at times for some kind of command. She
is beginning to know her name and she fetches and returns
her toy! She is very intelligent.
Thank you for such a great pup!
Linda Fracentese

Happy Holidays ~* Emmitt & Belle *~

Hi Donna,
Happy holidays to you and your family. Emmitt's (A Jazabelle Pup) first Christmas was great. Santa was very genersous with his gifts. Emmitt enjoyed the morning opening up gifts with his mom and dad. Then, cousin Belle (A Sophie Pup) came over to spend the rest of the day with him, while our family celebrated at a relatives house. We are looking forward to the upcoming litters, as we just sent in our deposit. Yeah! Emmitt can't wait to have a new brother or sister. We wish you a healthy, happy New Year. We hope you enjoy the pictures of Emmitt and cousin Belle.
Best Regards,Jaime Kraus

Happy 1st. Birthday ~* Harpo *~

Hi Donna,
As you know of course, tomorrow is Harpo’s (A Abigail Pup) first birthday. So here are a few pictures of him. I have to say, that they don’t do him justice. I just can’t capture his unbearable cuteness on camera. But let me tell you what happens when we walk in the neighborhood. During each walk that we take in the confines of our residential area, we are routinely stopped 3 or 4 times by members of his fan club. But when we venture to the commercial parts of our neighborhood, there is no escaping the onslaught of his admirers. Today, we must have been stopped 10 times in less then a half hour. We even had the case of a driver sitting at a red light who, upon seeing Harpo, took out a camera and started to shoot pictures! I went to Duane Reade carrying him, as usual, on my hip like a baby, with his two hind legs around my waist and his front paws on my shoulder. I thought we could never leave. We were stopped at every aisle. Women were all over him, kissing him, petting him, and cooing. One even said “This is the most beautiful dog I have ever seen”. My Little Guy does not complain of course. He probably thinks that he deserves all the adoration the world lavishes on him. But it has not gone to his head yet, and he still gladly returns complete strangers’ kisses.I have to say that my favorite expression of devotion to King Harpo happened last week. As we were waiting for a light to change, a woman stopped her car in the middle of the street, lowered her window and shouted at Harpo: “I could kiss you up, you are SO cute, you are SO beautiful” etc. As she kept ranting and raving about Mister Cutie, she had become oblivious of the traffic. She ended up blocking the intersection as cars waited for her to move in order to make their turns. Yes, my baby stops traffic. Literally. Larry, Harpo and I wish you and your family a Great New Year!Marie.

Holiday Wishes ~* Margot * ~

Hi Donna and Family,
Thank you for your holiday wishes. We all wish you a wonderful Holiday and very Happy New Year. Margot (A Sophie Pup) is looking forward to getting under the tree and unwrapping her gifts! She's already had a wonderful December playing in the snow. I'm sorry I haven't included a photo with this email, but will send one very soon.

Happy Holidays ~* Liberty *~

We wish you a very Merry Christmas. As you can see from the picture, Liberty (A Gidget Pup) was anxiously awaiting Santa's arrival and loves the story Twas the Night before Christmas!!
Liberty's name suits her well. She is quite the city dog. She gets along so well with all the other dogs, loves her daily walks throughout the city parks and is well liked by all who meet her. We just love having Liberty,we can't imagine our lives without her. The kids are sleeping until 9 am but now we have the dog waking us up early for her walks. We can't win!! But we wouldn't trade it for anything!
Have a Healthy & Happy New Year
Love,
The O'Briens

Season's Greeting's ~* Lola *~

Hi Donna, I am so sorry I haven't sent you a photo until now. As you can see, Lola (A Lucky Pup) is doing great. We celebrated her first birthday in July. She has grown into a sweetheart she is fabulous with children. She loves to play ball especially with my son's friends. We can't remember life without her. There are moments when we think about getting another schnoodle to keep her company. She doesn't like to be left alone (which doesn't happen often.) She loves to go for long walks in the park near our house and we are stopped regularly by people telling me what a cute dog she is! She looks especially cute in her red jacket. We hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas! Thanks again for Lola!!! Regards,Mary-Kay Coyne

Happy Holiday's ~* Belle *~

Hi Donna,

Thank you for the holiday wishes-- we wish you the same! Sorry I haven't sent any pictures of Belle (A Sophie Pup) . We don't have a digital camera yet and I don't know how to use the scanner. My sister Jaime will send pictures of Belle and Emmitt. They play so well together. Jaime sometimes drops Emmitt over for a playdate when she goes to work. The two will be spending Christmas together while we are all out visiting family!

Belle is great. She is wonderful with the kids- even the new baby. Johnny and Carrie have a new baby sister! Carson was born on July 18th. Well good luck with the new pups. We still check the web page often. My kids love to see Belle's mom and dad!

Take care,
Alison Pohlman

Merry Christmas ~*Marla*~

Hi Donna
Good to hear from you . This is a pic of Marla (A Gidget Pup) and her Humane Society brother Travis. We got him in June. The pic was taken in late October. They have a great time together. Especially now with the snow. They love running and rollin around in it. Marla is everything we expected and more. She is great with a capital G. Travis is 2yrs. and a couple months. He was well house-broken by whoever gave him up. We are thrilled he and Marla get along like brother and sister.
Merry Christmas and a great New Year to everyone at Town n Country. We'll send more soon.

Season's Greeting's ~* Malibu *~

Dear Donna,

Happy Holidays! Malibu (A Sophie Pup) is 1 year old and is doing great. We love her so much. She is very well behaved, however she likes to bark alot. We are working on that behavior modification. Malibu loves to swim in our pool and float on the raft with the girls. Malibu weighs 22 lbs. She loves chasing the lizards around our pool, she will sometimes catch them and bring them for us to admire! She is so fast, she can outrun the lizards, they don't stand a chance with her around. She turned out to be so much fun with a great personality.

We wish all of you a Happy and Safe Holiday Season!

Merry Christmas ~* Sully *~

Hi Donna and Family,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year right back at you! Sully (A Sophie Pup) is doing great. He's already 12 pounds now and is a lean little running machine! He's going to be neutered on January 24, so I'll send you a copy of the vet's report shortly after. Sully has fit right into our family. Everyone who meets him can't believe how smart and funny he is. They especially love the part that he doesn't shed. He has his own stocking for Christmas filled with toys and Nylabones. Matty wants Sully to get his presents first so that they can both enjoy Christmas together. I've attached some recent photos. Sully LOVES snow. The first storm was on Thanksgiving day and he never wanted to come back in. He's pretty funny looking when he digs his head into the snow and comes up looking like an old man!

Take care and have a very safe and happy holiday season.

Our best always,
Suzanne

Happy Holidays ~* Schmuele *~

Dear Donna
Happy Holidays to you and your family!! We survived Wilma with minimal damage - our lanai screen cage was totally destroyed.Schmuele wanted to let you know how happy he is here - so here goes
It's hard to believe that I'm 1 yr and 9 mos old and weigh 16 lbs. I love when my sister, brother and brother-in-law come to visit - they live far away .

Mom likes to dress me up so my dad and brother wore the same shirt as me.
I have a friend down the street that I love to visit. Mom cane always find me there. I have lots of aunts and uncles who always want me to spend the night with them - They babysit for me when mom and dad go away. I have also learned to swim in our pool- As long as mom or dad are with me I'll go in. My favorite game is bringing mom and dad one of my babies - for some reason they keep throwing it and I have to keep bringing it back to them -Thanks for finding me such a great home - Wonder what they got me for Christmas??
Love
Schmuele

Season's Greeting's ~* Ivy *~

Dear Donna and all my extended family at Town & Country Schnoodles: I have just turned three years old and have become quite the mature young lady. (Well, sometimes I whine when I can't go outside and play frisbee, but otherwise I am a very dignified and fashionable dog, as you can see from the attached photos.) My human parents moved from Arlington, VA last December to Fayetteville, PA when my papa retired from the Postal Service. It was an adjustment to move into a brand new house, especially while the carpenters were still working on it, hammering away. Sometimes I just shut myself in my crate (yes, I close the door myself!). At first I was very suspicious of the other dogs in the neighborhood; you know how it is being the new girl on the block. But now, I've made several friends, including a cock-a-poo named Kody (he is such a flirt!), and my next door neighbor, Dixie (a Black Lab). Dixie and I and our parents spent a lot of afternoons this summer playing frisbee in her big back yard. Dixie also has a swimming pool. It's very deep (about six inches!) and I won't go into it, even though Dixie keeps showing me that it is a very fun way to cool off. Dixie and I also went trick-or-treating together on Halloween. She was a pumpkin, I was a fortune-teller.
Didn't travel too much this year, but we did go to CHicago and Michigan for Thanksgiving. We stayed in Michigan with Mama's 92-year-old aunt, who supposedly doesn't like dogs very much. Ha! I just snuggled up against her legs whenever she sat down, looking up at her adoringly with my big, soulful brown eyes, and the next thing you know, this little old hand was reaching down to scratch me behind the ears. Another convert to Schnoodl-ism.
Mom and Dad still take me back to Arlington every few weeks so I can visit my favorite doggy bakery and boutique, Dogma. That is where Mama found this pink coat for me. Papa hates it. Says it makes me look like Paris Hilton. Personally, I have no opinion about this...a coat is a coat, and this time of year (18 degrees and snowing today!), wearing a fake one over my natural one feels pretty doggone nice!
Yappy Holidays to All of You!

Happy Holidays ~* Bridget *~

Hi Donna,
I'll send you some new pictures soon. My mother's friend and her daughter LOVE Bridget (A Gidget Pup) and are making her a special Christmas outfit, so I wanted to wait and get pictures of her then. She is doing great. She is wonderful company for my mother. She goes to the studio with me at night and we have our own little routine. I tell her "Mommy has to work" and she entertains herself, but as soon as I start cleaning up and ask her "where's your stick?" she's ready to play! A neighbor walks her two dogs and often stops over and takes Bridget along with them. So she is a very popular girl and we LOVE her!
Merry Christmas
Pat and Ellen

Merry Christmas ~Lucy~

Hi Donna,

We are doing great and having the best time with Lucy (A pup from Sophie). She is so much fun and we can't remember a time when she wasn't here. She is such a well rounded little puppy. She loves to go on long walks in the park, play fetch with her toys but also likes to snuggle up on your lap and just lay low. Every time any one of us leaves her for any period of time, she will greet us with tons of kisses and pure excitement. We love her very much.

I'm having trouble attaching a picture, but will try again soon.

Also, just to let you know that she is scheduled to be spayed on January 23rd.

Thanks for writing and have a great holiday & New Year !

~* Darci *~ (New Puppy) Up-date

Donna,

Atttached is a picture of Darci with her half-brother "Jasper" and two of Burr and Beth Austins's kids holding the dogs (Jasper is a Jazabelle pup who lives next door to Mike). Darci is doing well. She has adjusted to the new house and the cold weather with no problems. She is enjoying being spoiled and the center of attention. She is having a ball playing in the snow.

Mike

~* Happy Holiday Maggie Fletcher *~

Happy Holidays from the Fletchers!

Maggie (A Nikita Pup) is doing very well. We love her so much! Its hard to believe we’ve had her almost two years now. Have a wonderful holiday season and best of luck as you continue finding homes for your lovable Schnoodles!

Andy, Terrie, Missy and Maggie

~* Scooter *~ (New Puppy) Up-date

Yes, Ken and the kids arrived home safely on Sunday with Scooter (her new name). She is very sweet, and has not even cried at night. She does love to go to the Christmas tree, though, and I'm putting up a gate to keep her from getting into it. She's doing a little scratching, and doesn't like her collar. Should I wait to put it on her?
Also, I'm wondering if she needs a jacket or sweater to go outside. it is unusually cold for this time of year here in New Jersey -Barb Farricker

~* Milo *~ (New Puppy) Up-date

Donna -

Milo is doing great. He is flying all over the place. My building has a "party room" on the 2nd floor and it's a perfect place for us to run wild indoors (my apartment is not too big). I take him there after he goes to the bathroom. He loves running after me, he hops when I hop, and he's always happy to see me. We've had a few accidents when I let him out of the playpen he hangs out in during the day. There's a dog sitter that comes in the middle of the day to play with him for an hour - while I'm at work. He likes to eat only the dry Eukunuba small dog formula alone (not with any canned mix). All in all - he's well.

Thanks,Dalia

~* Carter *~ (New Puppy) Up-date

Hi Donna,
We finally picked out a name....drum roll......Carter!!!!:-)

Donna,
I can't tell you how very happy we ALL are. We are so in love with this little guy. He has the best disposition and is so cute and funny and sweet. He has taken to the crate well and is sleeping through the night. We are still trying to figure out the training thing and there have been many accidents on the rugs!! We don't care though because we couldn't imagine life without him. Thank you so much, again, for choosing the right puppy for our family. He is so perfect for us!!!

Take care,
Tracy

~* Cody *~ (New Puppy) Up-date

Hi Donna,
I'm sorry I haven't emailed you sooner but right after we picked up the puppy, my husband had to leave on a business trip to NY; so without any help at home, between work & taking care of the little guy, I've been pretty busy and haven't gotten on the computer.
We named him "Cody" and he is so loving and fun.
Our trip back went well . He did cry for a while but finally settled down and fell asleep.
The training is going well, he hasn't messed in his crate at all and has had accidents in the house but that's to be expected.
At first he didn't like the snow at all...he didn't even want to put his feet down on it...but he's fine with it now and likes to eat it.
Everyday he's getting more & more comfortable in his new home.
I just love him....can't wait for my husband John to get home to enjoy him and my daughter will be home tomorrow from college and she can't wait to see him.
I think he is the perfect fit for us. Thanks for choosing us as his new family.
I hope your husband and son had a safe trip back. Tom was very helpful answering questions I had. I can tell you all have love and concern for all your puppies.
I will send pictures of Cody soon.
I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas.

Thanks again.
Iris Guzik

~* Henley *~ (New Puppy) Up-date

Hi Donna,

How are you? Hope things are going well with the new litter. I am sure you are staying extremely busy with the new additions! Just wanted to let you know that "Henley" went for a check up today and the vet said she had never before seen such good records on a puppy as you have kept. Hats off to you! She also said we have received a good puppy and that he really looked great. Thank you for such a wonderful addition to our family. The kids are wild about him as are Jim and I.

Henley whined a little the first night and since then he has been fine. When Jim gets up at 6:00am, Henley is sitting sweetly waiting for the company. Jim takes him out and when I get up at 7:00am I feed him and when the kids get up at 7:30, they take him out again. He has had very few accidents in the house and is the sweetest little thing you could ever want.

I was concerned when he first arrived, coming from Florida to snow. Well, he seems to like the snow as he normally goes to the toilet on that rather than the areas where the sun has melted the snow and grass is showing. However, today we have had snow, sleet and now rain and I am not going to subject him to having to go out in the freezing rain, he can just go on the floor and I will get out the Murphy's Oil soap and wash it afterwards.

Donna, thanks again for such a joy, he is truly a wonderful addition to the family.

Best always, Gloria

Feeding Schedule For New Puppies

Good Morning all.
I just wanted to go over the feeding schedule for the new puppies who went home this past week.
Please feed the puppies at least "three" times a day - You may want to leave the food bowl down all the time for the first week or so, the puppies are just getting used to their new areas and are very distracted from eating. If you leave it available all the time for them they will munch when they want to. You can set up a schedual for feeding after awhile when they have settled in.
Also, keep on hand wet food - Just in case you see them not eating enough, add it to the dry.
You will continue to feed three times a day until your vet advises you to switch over to adult food - Usually around one year of age.
The three booklets I sent home with the pups are booklets that I have found over time that I thought would be helpful to new puppy parents - In one of the booklets it suggests to feed two times a day. Please do NOT follow that advise, go with three times a day.
Have a great day!
Donna

~* Merry Christmas Pepper *~

Hi there Donna,
Here are a couple of photos of Pepper. She is one of Cookie and Spencer's puppies. We just adore her! She is a beautiful dog. We couldn't be happier with her. She is a year and 7 months old now and weighs 12 lbs. She gets along great with my three children. She is very playful and affectionate and she just loves to bark at the squirrels in our yard. She was fully potty trained in the first couple months we had her and has been great since. She still sleeps in a crate beside me every night. Her favorite toy is the little dingo bone rawhides I give her every night. She chews them gone in about twenty minutes. She just loves them. Thanks again for such a wonderful dog.
Best wishes and Happy Holidays to you and your family!
Take care,
Heather Brady

~* Seasons Greetings Gracie *~

Hi Donna,

Thank you for your Christmas wishes. We also wish you and your family our best.

It is hard to believe Gracie (A Pepper Ann Pup) is 3 years old! She is the most fun and loveable dog imaginable. She loves to entertain us with her tricks like "Dance Ballerina" where she twirls around and around on her hind legs. She also rolls over and plays dead when we point our finger and say "Bang, Bang." She plays "Volleyball" by hitting a ball back to us with her nose when we toss it to her, she plays catch with us by sitting at the top of the steps, when we throw the ball to her she catches it and rolls it back down the steps to us, Frisbee remains one of her very favorites. She jumps really high to catch a frisbee in mid air. Gracie belly crawls with her hind legs behind her and pulls herself with her front legs, and a multitude of other games. Many of them she invented herself. She is so intelligent sometimes we think she is actually going to open her mouth and speak words to us!

Gracie walks on a leash so well and we can also trust her to walk with us off leash. She comes when she is called and is very obedient (especially when she knows there are treats in our pockets!).

Thank you for your wonderful Schnoodle breeding program. Our little Gracie brings joy and laughter to our lives daily! I don't want to leave you with the impression that all she does is play and run around. She has to get her daily dose of cuddling and belly rubs too. I'm afraid she is a bit spoiled. She sleeps with us every night (the crate was wonderful when she was young but as she became trustworthy she earned her way to total freedom).

Our biggest problem is when we travel and can't take her with us. We hate leaving her behind. Our vet tech comes and stays with Gracie in our home when we leave so we know she is in her own environment and well cared for BUT we still hate to walk out that door for vacations and travel. No matter what we are welcomed and greeted with great enthusiasm and love every time we return home. Sometimes we fear she is going to wag that little tail right off her body! :)

I'll try to do better with updates.

Kathy and Monty Riffer and of course, Gracie

Happy Holidays to you as well. We absolutely love our Lexie (A Pepper Ann pup). She is everything you could want in a third child. What a joy she is. Thank you. Denise Kish and Family

~* Sammy Kirkpatrick Holiday Up-Date *~

Hi Donna,

Happy Holiday's to you too. Sammy (A Lucky Pup) is doing great! He's very good with the kids. Here's a Christmas Picture taken last week. We've had a bit of snow over the last few days. Sammy has adjusted well but he always seems a little confused when he looks out the door in the morning and there is snow on the ground when there was none the day before. I took a picture last year of him after we had about a foot of snow. He seemed to enjoy it after getting used to it.

Best Wishes,

The Kirkpatricks
***********************************************************************

Donna:
I know my husband Bob responded to you already about Sammy and hopefully you received the recent picture we took of him for our Xmas card. However, I couldn't resist just sending you my feelings about Sammy. I've meant to e-mail you so many times but my busy days just get away from me. Now that we have a digital camera, we will try to get you more photos on-line.Our Sammy is everything you promised and more...and he has been such a wonderful addition to our family. Although he is a bit hyper at times jumping up on folks and licking them to death, you could not ask for a cuter, sweeter or smarter dog. You should see the cool tricks he does for treats -- very impressive. He is the unofficial mascot of my girls' school too. He goes with me everyday, rain or shine, to pick them up in the car and greets every child as they leave school. Everyone knows him by name, stops to pet him and loves him. He lights up when he sees my girls come out of school --- it makes their day and his. He is also my best buddy since I spend the majority of time with him. He LOVES the car, LOVES watching things out the window from our house, LOVES running outdoors, LOVES snuggling on beds/laps and LOVES being with people. So I take him everywhere and he is so good. He really understands things and is getting calmer as time goes by. He is healthy and strong too --- 25 lbs and can run like the wind. A big Schnoodle according to the vet. He seems to really enjoy his life with us and has a lot of fun with the neighbor dogs when he has playdates. Our "Sammy the Schnoodle" is the greatest. Thanks again for entrusting him into our care. We love him and are treating him like a little king.Happy Holidays! Sue Kirkpatrick

Up-Date on Sammy Willcox

Sammy, our two-year old schnoodle (a Zoe pup), says that everyday is a highlight. She awakes each morning in the middle of our bed. After a brief run around the yard (and a few barks at the darkness), it’s time for breakfast. Then she helps Tom fetch the newspaper and is rewarded by a treat, or two, or three… Next, she accompanies me to drop young Tom and Ann off at high school swim practice — all before 6am. Then it’s home for a day full of naps on her monogrammed blanket (on the sofa), a walk around the neighborhood, chasing squirrels, and greeting (and getting petted by) the neighbors who stop by on their walks by our house. After the family converges at home in the evening, it’s time for dinner followed by another nap. After another run around the yard (and a few more barks at the darkness), it’s time to nestle down in the middle of the bed to rest up for another day of highlights.

Happy 1st. Birthday Max!

Hi Donna,

Just wanted to send you a picture of Max's first birthday! We all love him, he is such a joy! I made him a doggie cupcake with a recipe I found online and he loved it!
Can't believe how fast time goes by. I won't keep you, since you are so busy with all your puppies! Thank you again for letting us adopt Max, he is a great addition to our family!!!!
(Max is a Gidget Pup)

Introducing ~* Winston *~

Hello Donna,

Winston (Is a Jazabelle Pup) is the best dog we have ever had! He is so affectionate and smart and just a joy. He slept through the night both nights so far. We take his kennel and place it by our bed at night and then we put the kennel in the pen area during the day. He has a small area in the kitchen during the day and can go in his kennel to sleep. He’s already learned to entertain himself in the pen and so far has been almost perfect on his house training. Thank you so much again for everything. I’ve attached a few pictures of his digs.

Regards,
Lesa
