Happy 1st. Birthday ~* Lucy *~

Hi Donna,

Lucy (A Sophie Pup) is doing great !!!! She has such a big personality packed into her little body. We love her so much and couldn't imagine our family without her. Thanks again for giving us such a wonderful dog.

Mary

L@@K who just turned 1 years old - "Sully"!!!!!!

Hey Donna,
I can't believe Sully (A Sophie Pup) is already one year old. He is absolutely the best pet we could have hoped for. The pictures I attached are from his birthday. We got him his own teddy bear and he brings it with him everywhere. I have never seen such an expressive pooch in my life. Since we shaved him down for the summer, when he gets cold at night due to the a/c, he just dives right under the covers and sleeps behind my legs or between Steve's legs. We can't figure out how he breathes down there, but he sure is content. He also has a schedule that he keeps to every night. When Steve and I are in our room watching t.v., he lays around for a while then will step on Steve's calf. This is the "I'm hungry, go get my food" sign. (Okay, he eats his dinner on our bed!). After polishing off his dog food and a great gulp of water, he walks up to the two of us and lets out the most masculine belch he can muster! .....typical guy!!!!! Next, he starts swatting Steve with his paw. This is the "Okay, it's go time" signal. He will attack Steve for over 30 minutes and keep going until he has had enough. It's absolutely hysterical to watch. During the day, if I'm in the bathroom, he barges right in and will sit there until I give him water in a Dixie cup. If I don't do it fast enough, he will get up on two feet and put his front paws on my bathroom counter and just stare at the cups! He definitely knows what he wants. My favorite time of day is when he gets wired and goes 90 around the house. It's almost like he's got a route mapped out and he just hits it. Haven't been able to catch him on video yet doing it because he's just so darn fast.

All we can say is that he is the best pup we could have ever asked for. He's sooooo smart and absolutely funny. He knows he belongs to this family.

Have a great August and I'll send more pictures soon.

Suz

Lovely Lily & her friend Rizzo up-date

Hi Donna!!

Just a quick update and some pictures. Lily (A Jezabelle Pup) is doing GREAT. We absolutely love her. She is so sweet and loving and easygoing, we take her all over the place (including on car trips to NY to visit my family), and she adapts easily to every new place and person she encounters. She loves to play with her toys (especially a giant stuffed cow that my best friend bought her, and the fleece shoe and lion that you sent her home with), and every day around 6:00 she does sprints around the house for about 15 minutes, which is especially great after a long day at work. It never ceases to make me laugh.

She has met many of the dogs on the block and is the toast of the neighborhood. We have met more people since we brought her home six weeks ago than we did in the entire first year that we've lived here! The people at my grandfather's nursing home love her, and all of our family members think she is just great (she met my parents for the first time last week, and I'm not sure who was more excited!)

She goes for her final round of shots next Saturday, then she'll get her rabies shot, and then I think we're done with shots for the year (well, except for when she gets spayed in October, but we haven't told her about that yet....). We have finally settled on a vet that we really like (thanks to the Wetmores's recommendation), and that's a huge relief. Lily seems to like it there, too.

The pictures I'm attaching include one of Lily's second bath (she's like half a puppy when her hair is wet!), one of Lily and Rizzo (Wetmore) - (A Lucky Pup) playing, one of Rizzo "driving" a toy car, one of Lily in the back yard, and one of her sitting - a trick which she learned in about three tries. Very impressive for such a young puppy!

Thanks again for giving us such a great little friend. We love her to bits. Hope everything is going well with your family and your two new arrivals.

Best,

Erica and Sam

The Beautiful ~*Bella*~ up-date

Hi Donna,
Well, we are having a lot of fun with our "Bella" (A Lucky Pup). She is very sweet with a lot of spunk and a great personality. She loves all kids and greets them with kisses and her little tail wagging. She loves to have her tummy rubbed, and frequently rolls over on her back for some lovin'. She is growing like a weed. I think she is near 6# by now. We are looking into puppy training and hope to have her enrolled in a class soon. She travels very well and sleeps through the night in her crate. She has been to Cape Cod a loves to walk and romp on the beach.
Thanks so much for bringing Bella to us! We love her. Attached are some photos.
Best,
Bev Rothfeld and Family

The Handsome man ~*Skipper*~ up-date

Donna,
Just wanted to send some pictures of Skipper (A Sophie Pup). He is doing great!
He is such a good puppy. I cant believe he will be a year old this month. We moved in March, he had some what of a hard time adjusting, but he is fine now. Its like we never moved. We took him to creek, he loves the water. Loves the outdoors, and loves our walks around the neighborhood. You might find it hard to believe that he weighs 28lbs! He is healthy and does not have an ounce of fat on him. We have nicknamed him little moose. That is our joke, because of how big he has become. We of course love him no matter what! Thanks again for he is a true joy to have around! Love your picture of the rainbow, that was beautiful. I still enjoy checking out the new arrivals. Someday we may consider another one.

Sorry about the delay in posting any up-dates sent in!
Donna

p.s. - I have a fantastic picture & up-date of Skipper that I can't wait to share with you all as soon as this is fixed : )
