Hi,
I have only good things to say about Donna and Tom Davis and my overall experience with Town and Country Schnoodles. Everything you read on their site is true. Donna gave us a beautiful, healthy, smart, and loving puppy. Although you may have to wait a while to be offered a puppy after your application is accepted --Donna makes it very clear on her website that a wait is to be expected-- the entire process of scheduling an appointment with Tom, meeting him at the hotel, receiving the puppy, the Care Package (loaded with great toys that Harpo still holds as his favorite) and tones of suggestions and advice on how to handle the first couple of days with your pup, all of this went without a glitch. I am very inquisitive, and between the moment my application was accepted (Nov. 1, 04) to the moment we left to meet Tom to pick up the pup (February 29,05), I sent Donna several e-mails a week. This was more an expression of my anxiety during the “waiting” period than anything else. But Donna very graciously responded to every single question I sent her way. And she still does. About the waiting period: it was worth it. If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t mind waiting even longer to get a puppy as perfect as Harpo. Harpo— where can I start?-- is all we wanted in a dog. At 11 months, he now weighs 15 lbs (This is the weight Donna predicted, and which he reached about 4 months ago.) He has a thick silky coat which does not shed. The color is chocolate from nose to tail. The eyes, which started green, are now a warm amber. Not a day goes by without people stopping us in the street to marvel at him with epithets such as “cute”, “gorgeous”, “adorable”, “magnificent”, “precious” etc. He is the toast of the neighborhood, makes the grouchiest people smile and melt. But that is only the tip of the iceberg. Harpo has the best of dispositions. While rather independent minded, he is as loving as they come. He is extremely sociable and loves all creatures small and big. He has quite a few dog friends in the co-op whom he greets with hugs. When he meets his pal Tobbie, a 60 lbs Golden Retriever, Harpo gets on his hind legs to hold Tobbie’s head between his front paws and nibbles on his face and ears. And he is just as outgoing with people. He is also smart, funny, playful, and, of prime importance for us, apartment dwellers, he was housetrained at 6 months and never had one accident since. And Harpo hardly ever barks, even when left alone in the apartment for a few hours. His favorite activities are the local dog run (the bigger the dogs the happier Harpo is. He races them and leaves them in the dust!), car trips with his mom and dad (we choose pet friendly hotels), playing catch, playing hide and seek (we hide the toys for him to find), sharing an apple with his dad, sharing a yogurt with his mom, curling up in bed with his dad for an afternoon nap. His latest achievment: he gives us high fives on command with both front paws.I hope that has answered your questions. If you have more, don’t hesitate to contact me. I can talk endlessly about my little man Harpo. If you have more specific questions about my experience with T&C Schnoodle, I’ll also be happy to respond. Best, Marie Trope-Podell

~* Sully *~ The Wonder Pup

Hi Donna,

I had to send new pictures of Sully the wonder pup! (Sully is Sophie pup) Sully is now a whopping 9 pounds and is growing very well according to our vet. We had a coupon from our vet for Iams Puppy food, so I did a gradual switch and he loves it even more than his original food. In certain light, you can see the beautiful chocolate color of his father, especially behind his ears and down his back.

He has learned to fetch and he even made up a game of his own where he lays on our couch or loveseat with one of his chewbones and throws it himself. The whole objective of this game is that one of us goes and brings it back to him! What a smart little guy!! He even learned how to avoid the cold nights up here. One night about a month ago, Sully was watching t.v. with us on the bed, well Steve fell asleep and never put Sully in his crate, so now we have a furry partner with us every night. He has never had an accident on the bed. Housetraining is still going on but it's getting better and better each day.

I wish you could see him with my mom. It's almost like he knows she's older than us and behaves calmly with her. When I take Matty to school in the morning, Sully curls up with her in bed and stays with her until around 9:30 when he decides to come looking for me. He really knows how to melt our hearts. His eyes and facial expressions in general are so telling. You can always tell by his looks what he is thinking. We can't imagine a day without him now that he has found a home with us. Thanks again for giving us the best gift we could ask for.

Take care, have a safe and happy holiday season and we'll send more pictures soon.

Suz

The Cute As A Button ~* Louie *~

I received this up-date & cute as could be Halloween picture of "Louie" (He is a pup from Jazabelle).

Hi Donna,

Hope all is well with you and your family. We have had some major computer problems since September and I have been going crazy without a computer. We have finally conquered the bugs!!!!! I was so happy to see the new puppies on your web page and all of the expected litters.

I wanted to give you a little update on Louie. I hope you received the pictures I sent earlier ~ he is beautiful and such a lover. Needless to say he is quite spoiled due to his looks and charm. He weighs 10lbs. which is great because he loves to be carried around. He spent a lot of time at the baseball field this summer watching Jake play baseball. He loves to go for walks, play and snuggle. He is wonderful around kids......Jake's friends come over and they become "human toys" for Louie. Well, it's time for our morning walk. I am loving the exercise!

Have a great day!!!!!!

Kris Hoffman

To top that off my son's football team has made it to the second round of the play-off's! We are so proud of the whole team - You go "DAWGS"!
I hope to get all the e-mails & application answered asap.
Again accept my apologies,
Donna
