Awwwww Thanks Marie!

This is a copy of a "Reference" sent in by Marie (she is the mom to ~*Harpo*~ - One of Abigail's pups pictured). It was sent to one of my future puppy families.
Thanks alot Marie!

Hi,
I have only good things to say about Donna and Tom Davis and my overall experience with Town and Country Schnoodles. Everything you read on their site is true. Donna gave us a beautiful, healthy, smart, and loving puppy. Although you may have to wait a while to be offered a puppy after your application is accepted --Donna makes it very clear on her website that a wait is to be expected-- the entire process of scheduling an appointment with Tom, meeting him at the hotel, receiving the puppy, the Care Package (loaded with great toys that Harpo still holds as his favorite) and tones of suggestions and advice on how to handle the first couple of days with your pup, all of this went without a glitch. I am very inquisitive, and between the moment my application was accepted (Nov. 1, 04) to the moment we left to meet Tom to pick up the pup (February 29,05), I sent Donna several e-mails a week. This was more an expression of my anxiety during the “waiting” period than anything else. But Donna very graciously responded to every single question I sent her way. And she still does. About the waiting period: it was worth it. If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t mind waiting even longer to get a puppy as perfect as Harpo. Harpo— where can I start?-- is all we wanted in a dog. At 11 months, he now weighs 15 lbs (This is the weight Donna predicted, and which he reached about 4 months ago.) He has a thick silky coat which does not shed. The color is chocolate from nose to tail. The eyes, which started green, are now a warm amber. Not a day goes by without people stopping us in the street to marvel at him with epithets such as “cute”, “gorgeous”, “adorable”, “magnificent”, “precious” etc. He is the toast of the neighborhood, makes the grouchiest people smile and melt. But that is only the tip of the iceberg. Harpo has the best of dispositions. While rather independent minded, he is as loving as they come. He is extremely sociable and loves all creatures small and big. He has quite a few dog friends in the co-op whom he greets with hugs. When he meets his pal Tobbie, a 60 lbs Golden Retriever, Harpo gets on his hind legs to hold Tobbie’s head between his front paws and nibbles on his face and ears. And he is just as outgoing with people. He is also smart, funny, playful, and, of prime importance for us, apartment dwellers, he was housetrained at 6 months and never had one accident since. And Harpo hardly ever barks, even when left alone in the apartment for a few hours. His favorite activities are the local dog run (the bigger the dogs the happier Harpo is. He races them and leaves them in the dust!), car trips with his mom and dad (we choose pet friendly hotels), playing catch, playing hide and seek (we hide the toys for him to find), sharing an apple with his dad, sharing a yogurt with his mom, curling up in bed with his dad for an afternoon nap. His latest achievment: he gives us high fives on command with both front paws.I hope that has answered your questions. If you have more, don’t hesitate to contact me. I can talk endlessly about my little man Harpo. If you have more specific questions about my experience with T&C Schnoodle, I’ll also be happy to respond. Best, Marie Trope-Podell
